A one-of-a-kind Valentine's present

Allow Trillium Design to create a unique terrarium for your indoor environment.  A creative balance of foliage and delicate flowering plants blend together inside these protective vessels.

Terrariums are relatively low-maintenace given the humidity level created within each glass vessel.  Our terrariums come with simple care instructions.

Maintenance programs are an option for those wanting periodic care and refreshing of their terrariums.

This terrarium features an African Violet with diverse mosses and tropical foliage.

A hardy cyclamen offers an early spring burst of color.  This small flowering plant will be swapped out later in the spring with a violet or other small blooming perennial.  The tropical foliage and mosses give year round interest.

The advantage of creating terrariums is the versatility in moving plants around due to the minute scale of this garden.  Small bulbs can be added in winter such as Snowdrops or Crocus for color.

Succulents

Succulents plants are used in our terrariums to create dramatic, desert-like environments.  Our succulent terrariums are designed with more air circulation as these plants do not tolerate the humidity found in a more closed vessel.

Tillandsias or Air Plants are the stars of our Succulent Terrariums.  These plants are unique in that they do not live in soil -- rather they can be mounted or grown in almost anything from glass to driftwood to rock.  They require bright light and regular moisture to thrive.  We use them regularly in our succulent terrariums because of the architectural quality and interest they provide.

Carnivorous Terrariums

Carnivorous Terrariums are a truly unique and inspiring gift for all ages.

Children will delight in the opportunity to watch the Venus Fly Trap in action -- "devouring" flies in its delicate traps.

Seasonal Planters and Orchids

Trillium Design creates unique seasonal planters for special occasions such as Easter, Mother's Day, a special teacher's gift and Father's Day.  Each planter is carefully designed to your specifications.  Pieces of moss, lichen, and stones are used to adorn each planter.

Our planters make great centerpieces, too.  Larger custom orders are gladly considered.

   

 These spring planters feature spring bulbs and African violets with a sprig of pussy willow.
